Lavender - “Lavandula Angustifolia” A very versatile botanical. It has whole-body calming & balancing properties. It’s one of my favourite botanicals & I have several varieties of lavender in my garden, māra. My main ones are “Pacific Blue” & “Grosso” which are used for their essential oils & therapeutic properties. It has analgesic & antimicrobial properties so great for any skin issues such as burns, insect bites, cuts or rashes. It can also help ease headaches, stress, anxiety, tension & exhaustion and is great for emotional support. It’s also a wonderful botanical for helping with sleeplessness.
Chamomile - “Matriccaria Chamomilla” Best known for its wonderful calming properties. It’s a gentle botanical which makes it great for all ages. Fantastic for healing & soothing skin issues such as rashes, burns & wounds. Chamomile has a gorgeous mild apple-like scent & it is full of nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, potassium & B vitamins.
Lemon balm - “Melissa officinalis” , a member of the mint family, a gentle nervine which helps calm & rejuvenate the nervous system easing anxiety, nervous tension & headaches, potent anti-viral properties & great for cold-sores.
Hops - “Humulus lupulus”, can aid sleep by calming the central nervous system through compounds that interact with GABA receptors, promoting relaxation and deeper sleep. Abraham Lincoln was said to have used a pillow filled with hops to help him sleep.
Blue Lotus - “Nymphacea caerulea”, considered a natural sedative that can help reduce anxiety and stress, contributing to a more peaceful state of mind for sleep.

Once the scent has faded, give the pillow a good rub to get the oils going again or refresh with a few drops of Lavender essential oil.
Best place to store your Botanical Eye Pillow when your not using is under your pillow. Can also be put in your clothing drawer to scent PJ’s or linen cupboard to scent sheets.
